The boys are stoked to announce that, they will be holding a special benefit concert event on September 24th 2009, at 7:30PM at the Métropolis ( 59, Ste-Catherine east, Montreal ).

Come out to see the band in person, check out the auction and watch a special band performance later that evening.

All proceeds go towards the band’s Foundation whose aim is to help help kids in need by easing thee often difficult passage to adulthood.

“We started the Simple Plan Foundation as a way to try to give something back to our community and make a difference. After reading hundreds of letters and e-mails from our fans and talking to them at our shows, we know very well how tough life can be for kids growing up. It breaks our hearts to see so many young people fighting to survive while feeling depressed and lost. We want our Foundation to help them find their way and show them that there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, that things can get better.

The members of Simple Plan and the Simple Plan Foundation invite their fans and partners to attend their second benefit event to profit their foundation, September 24th 2009, at 7 :30 pm, at the Metropolis, 59 St-Catherine Street East, in Montreal.

The evening will begin with a cocktail and an auction, that will offer guests the opportunity to meet the band in intimate surroundings. Afterwards, Simple Plan will perform a concert. After leaving Belo Horizonte, Brasil more than 30 hours ago, the boys have finally touched down in Vancouver, Canada just in time for rehearsals for the Juno Awards.

Simple Plan is not only performing on Sunday’s awards, but they are also nominated for two of them: Album of the year as well as Group of the year.

The guys are pretty beat but after a quick shower and meal, they are back on their feet, ready to soldier on. Video proof of that soon!
