Here in Austria we count like; four years primary school, then we start at the "gymnasium" (it´s about eight years) so if you´re 14, you´re in the 8th grade

uhm...I think because we ahve winter here. Only in summr we have large holidays (I mean 9 weeks) but in winter around christmas we only have two weeks holidays. So no I have schoola again.

I`m in the 8th year of school. So the 2nd year of highschool. My last year before I go to college. But the exams are in March...luckily. So I don`t have to study yet :D

In France, we have several sections. We choose it at the end of the 10th grade and we study the specific subjects of our section in 11th and 12th. I chose the literary section. Teachers say that it's the most difficult one, students in other sections say that it's too easy and that we never really work (literary section isn't very popular ..). I think that it's pretty tough and very tiring. We actually work a lot ..
I don't know how the school system works in Australia, but here, it sure is tiring and difficult. The french school system is the worst ever, everybody knows it. We have class from 8am to 6pm. Nobody is the world stays that late in school ! x)
I don't have subjects like politics or economics in my section. But we talk about it a little bit in History-Geography class.
I hope you succeeded at your exam !
