    Ok - this is a real long-shot but I am hoping someone could help me out or give me an idea of who to contact for further info.

     

    Here goes.  I have a nine year old son who is bonkers on Simple Plan and has asked me if they tour the UK again could he go and see them.  I promised him that if they tour over here I would take him.

     

    Imagine his face when I told him that they are going to be playing Manchester!!  He was bouncing round the room.  I have gone to buy tickets today and it stipulates a 14+ only venue and anyone under that age will be refused entry.

     

    Now the begging part of this post - does anyone knoe any way of getting round this as I am going to have one extremely upset boy when I tell him.

Does anybody know is the same system in Finland too? I'm going to see SP 16.4. to Helsinki, I haven't ever been on any show so I don't know how it works. Can they seriously refuse us entry? What if we have an adult with us?

I'm 14 years old but friend with me is 12. Help?

Sadly in the UK you are not allowed to have fun until you are 18!!

I have tried contacting the venue but so far have had no answer.

If it is an age restriction because of possible bad language then I am willing to give the usual 'what you hear do not repeat' lecture. I am guessing it is to do with the archaic licencing laws of this stupid country. I should be able to decide if my kids can watch a concert - not the local authority. I can make a judgement call seeing as I am the parent!!!

I will be chasing this up as much as I can with the venue - but if anyone can help then please let me know.
