New Updates to SimplePlan.com

Hey everyone, 

We've updated SimplePlan.com to a new platform! The great news is our new platform gives us more flexibility to make improvements and add new features to SimplePlan.com faster than ever.

Below are details on what you need to do to access your SimplePlan.com account on the upgraded site and what’s different as a result of the changes.

Don't worry we have your existing profiles saved!
1) To access your SimplePlan.com account, go to the login page and follow the instructions.
2) Here are some differences as a result of the changes:

First off, you'll see that the style of the site hasn't changed, and things look the same. This is intentional. All the changes and upgrades are happening behind the scenes. It does mean it affects some functionality of the site such as:

At this time you will not be able write or receive comments on your user profile wall. We know this is going to be missed, and we promise to bring this functionality and more back to SimplePlan.com in short order.

Don’t worry – we saved your old profile comments and will restore them ASAP. The discussion boards are still fully functional and can be used for site communication with other members.

As always, please report spam or other flag-worthy content to the WebCrew. You can do it on this Spam Report thread.
 

Connect your Facebook and Twitter accounts if you haven’t already. To do so, hover over your username in the upper right, and click Edit Profile. Then click the Social Publishing tab.

You can still post your favorite concert footage of Simple Plan to the Fan Videos section, and now you can use more sites – like Vimeo and TwitVid! 

Comment and forum activity from your user profile pages are now removed. We felt like these created messy and long scrolling pages.  Please let us know if you strongly disagree with this decision and did find this feature useful and we will discuss adding it back.

We're looking forward to keeping the site running for a long, long time. These changes are a huge step to doing just that, and soon we’ll have much bigger and better things to share.
