Imagine one seconds being next to drums playing loud more than a minute ! It's very loud, glases are for other musician to protect them from the noise.
That's why usually, drums are not in front of the stage but in the back.
So yeah Chuck is in a cage but it's totally normal ! I don't know what's the word in english, in french it's called "pare-sons" maybe "protection against sound" ? lol
yeah, it certainly is odd to see Chuck in... erm, inside the glassy box; I'm not sure, sorry... -kicked- but probably because the drums' sound is usually really loud that it needs to be slightly separated from the violin and all of the other orchestra's instruments... not sure, though. -kicked again-
hmm, poor Chuck... at least he didn't have to play in a box during the show. I think...
and I completely agree with Tam VM. Chuck does look clueless. thanks for pointing that out.
and, heh, this pic is just so cool. and I'm finally able to take a closer look to Chuck's drum kit, too. garsh... so many people and so many practices... OSM must be a really great event. X)
