Another day, another flight. The last leg of this promo tour, the guys arrived in Singapore late last night. The next two days are jam packed for SP and then it’s back to North America… Here are the boys last night as they got in a wet, hot and humid Singapore
Hello there. We are currently in Spain doing interviews and i just noticed that x-mas is coming in the next 5 weeks! YÉÉÉÉÉ! So i think a good present you should all ask for is an itunes prepaid card or a gift thing from your favorite record so you can use it around january 29th… Just kidding! Or maybe i’m not. Seriously though, i’m loving this promo. Good to be back out there but even better getting to be with the guys once again. Permanent friends. I hope you guys like the song because we love playing it and doing these little acoustic shows. They give us a good preview of what the live show is gonna be like. Well, the guys are calling my name so i’m gonna go before they scream at me. Later people! And by the way, there might be 5 weeks till x-mas, but there’s 71 days till the record comes out. Cool beans.
The boys are in LA this weekend filming the music video for “When I’m Gone”. Day 1 was yesterday, or night 1 rather as this is a two night shoot- 5pm to 7am last night! It was a little exhausting, but so far everything is looking awesome, so well worth it. At 5pm, no one was too tired, so Sebastien seized the opportunity to vlog about the nights events. Then, a little later in the night, our buddy Perez Hilton dropped by the set to hang out and even got a little cameo in the video. Between shots, Perez filmed a little conversation with the guys and posted it on his YouTube Channel. Well, we were also filming, so here is our version of the Perez conversation.
Night number two starts at 7pm and will be another all nighter so we’ll keep you posted tomorrow, after a little rest.
Hey there, seb here. I could tell you that we are having fun in LA, that the video will rock, but i get the feeling that you will be hearing that a lot as soon as you see video’s from patrick. So, i decided to give a very detailed “play by play” of my day. Now that we are back on the road working and doing promo, there’s a lot going on in a simple day.
6:15am: The alarm goes off on my phone. Time to get up. I don’t have time to eat or shower cuz it’s too freaking early. It’s all good i plan to sleep a bit more on the plane and shower when i get to LA.
8:30am: After spending more then an hour going through customs and security, i finally sit down at the gate and have time to eat a croisandwish that i picked up at Burger King. The flight is boarding.
11:41am: I still have not slept. I got into a show called “Six Feet Under” and i only had 2 more episodes to watch for me to be done with the entire thing. The 5 seasons. So i just got done watching this and let me tell you it is the saddest thing i have ever watched and i definitely brought tears to my eyes. I will try to get a bit of sleep now.
1:26pm: Slept for about 30 minutes. I had a little chat with david about lunch and decided that the chicken sub was the right idea. Now, i’m gonna eat that while i watch a little more tv.
12:30pm LA time: Ok we are waiting for our bags, nothing exciting here.
2:30pm: After a detour and traffic, we are finalyl at the hotel. Lucky me, i have a pool view. It’s very nice. I have a couple hours to kill before going to the fitting. That’s right, we are here in LA to shoot a video and we all have to figure out what we are gonna wear. So we are doing that tonight at 5.
4:44pm: Looking at the time. I took these couple hours to catch up witha couple of friends and to check out comments on the sp website and myspace. Good stuff. I’m gonna go downstairs in 7 minutes not to be late. I let you know all about it when i get back.
11:35pm: Time to go to bed. Just got back form the fitting. First, the van was 1 hour late picking us up because it went to the wrong hotel. Then, we got to sit in wonderful LA traffic on the way to the location. But it was all worth it because, aside form pizza and pasta, nice clothes were waiting for us. Being the nifty shoppers that we are, we always end up wearing mostly things that we own, but we managed to find some cool things that go well together and with whatever the other guys are wearing. Well, i’m going to bed now. I have to be ready to go tomorrow at 8:30am and it feels like 2:25am for me right now. Pretty tired, but all for a good cause.
Well it might be a national holiday for everyone else, but Simple Plan doesn’t take vacation and is hard at work today too in the Studio. Sebastien got here first and decided that Labor Day was as good as any other day to give you guys the first glimpse at what the guys have been hard at work to finish. The other 4 guys aren’t here yet, so let this be a secret between you and him, got it? Stuey also had a lot on his mind today so he decided to get in on the Vlog action.
It worked! In a matter of just an hour, we got more questions than even possible to answer. Some were great, some were terrible and some were downright just weird. Here are Chuck and Sebastien as they do their best to answer as many questions as they can.

This afternoon at the studio all 5 guys were here at the same time, which doesn’t happen all the time since they only really track one instrument at a time. I thought it would be a cool idea to shoot a group vlog. Then I was shot-down. Group Vlogs aren’t cool apparently. So here is a non-group vlog.
So it’s been a couple of days where things have been a little more chill at the studio. A lot of editing needed to be done so the guys got a little bit of a breather. Plus, last thursday was a day off cause Celine Dion needed the studio for a day. The guys agreed to take the day off, and then Celine cancelled cause she got sick. Sorry Celine, hope you feel better! In the mean time, here’s Sebastien, updating you with the latest.
Pierre just took matters into his own hands and filmed his own vlog and posted it on the SP MySpace Channel. Then, I took matters into MY own hands and stole it from YouTube and added it to this site for all of you to enjoy.
