After leaving Belo Horizonte, Brasil more than 30 hours ago, the boys have finally touched down in Vancouver, Canada just in time for rehearsals for the Juno Awards.
Simple Plan is not only performing on Sunday’s awards, but they are also nominated for two of them: Album of the year as well as Group of the year.
The guys are pretty beat but after a quick shower and meal, they are back on their feet, ready to soldier on. Video proof of that soon!

My letter to Juno’s publicity Dept
I watched the Junos tonite and I have a concern over the appearance of the band “Simple Plan” . I noticed the drummer wore a shirt with the old symbol of the Soviet era the Hammer and Sicle.
I know for some this may seem cool and a status thing. However for many in Canada that lived under Soviet Communism it was a symbol of tyranny and death and torture.
It is in my mind no different than wearing a nazi swastika. Hitler and Stalin killed millions under there respective symbols and these symbols should not be allowed on Juno shows.
I know if a Juno presenter or such used the N word it would cause a big stir or they called a Jew a Kyke also a big storm. However as many Jews that would be upset to see a swastika on a shirt many are also angered over the Soviet era symbol.
Please advise your band participants to respect history and symbols and cultures.

Since we are moving soon (our new place has 220 acres) I was telling everyone not to take the TV up to the new house so I’d get to watch you guys. Turns out I went to my friend’s house anyway and I watched it there, lol. On the drive home I almost fell asleep at the wheel, I don’t know why I’m still awake.
I can’t believe Nickelback…they got 3 freakin’ awards! I didn’t really like their newest album, although I did like a few songs. But most of them were you know…um what’s the word…suggestive. It was rather annoying that they won 3 awards and you guys didn’t win any. Your album was so much more inspiring instead of just about sexy girls and whatnot. I guess more people are into sex and perverted-ness than inspiration. *shrugs*
Your performance was amazing! Especially since you just flew in from Brazil and your arms were probably tired (LOL sorry just had to say it). I mean, Pierre was the only performer of the entire cast to actually interact with the crowd. That’s why I love you guys so much. Everyone else just stood there and sang, but you guys always perform with so much energy no matter how exhausted you are. You get the crowd going, and I LOVED the last time you came to Halifax, August 21st of last year. You’d better not make us wait 3 years again
Recently some bad things have happened in my life and I’m really stressed out but seeing you guys perform really brought me back up. I am still hurt and upset over the things that happened, but when I saw you guys again it helped brighten my bad times.
I don’t know if you guys read these comments but apparently you do, so I’ve heard. If you do, I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for writing these songs, thank you for inspiring not only me but millions of people around the world. You guys have always been my fave band for six years and I never get tired of hearing your music

Et bien…C’est dommage que Nickelback ait gagné les Junos dans vos catégories de nominations, je veux dire, ils sont bons et font des bonnes chansons et tout…mais selon moi personne ne vous bat en tant que groupe (têteux, mais vrai!). Mais bon, le show que vous avez donné hier était comme toujours, c’est-à-dire: malade! Toujours autant d’énergie sur scène les gars. Et vous allez être à Star Académie la semaine prochaine, haha…! u guys did such amazing things not just to me but to the entire world!
nickelback will never accomplish half of the things u guys did for the society.

You guys were AMAZING at the junos! It was sad that nickleback won, because they shouldn’t have. They never wrote about cancer or drunk driving, or about their complete love for anyone! And for hotel(but if you have a trailer or one of those ignore this sentence)you can stay at the raddison or the ramkota! I’d stay at the ramkota, awesome water slide. And good service.
