SP are getting geared up for their Canadian tour that starts August 19th, which promises to be amazing. However, there have been some changes to the tour line-up; The All-American Rejects will no longer be part of this tour as the band is currently tied up in the studio completing their new album. The good news is that one of our favorite new bands, Metro Station will be joining the tour along with Faber Drive.

I gotta say, I might not be buying tickets after all. I was stoked to see AAR also, I only like one song by Metro Station. Faber Drive is good also, but I’d rather pay $32 to see three bands I like instead of two.

Simple Plan’s guitarist Jeff Stinco was notably absent from Simple Plan’s Download set on Friday (June 13th).
He grabbed a last minute flight back to Canada for ‘personal reasons’. The band was keen to fulfil their commitments and play the metal festival, but struggled on stage without the aid of their much loved lead guitarist.
Front man, Pierre Bouvier seemed confused, telling the crowd, “It’s great to be in Birmingham”, when they were actually in Donninton.
advertisementSimple Plan played a shortened set including ‘Your Love is a Lie’, ‘You’re Gone’, ‘Welcome to My Life’, ‘Generation’ and ‘I’d Do Anything’ before finishing the set with ‘Perfect’ and getting the hell out of there. Fans were left stunned by their below par performance.
It’s not all rainy days and grey skies for the band though, as they celebrated winning the People’s Choice Award for ‘Favourite Canadian Group’ at the MMVA’s last night, their fifth snag.
They also presented the awards which were held in Toronto, Canada”

hey you guys… i know you all mentioned that the all american rejects will not be playing in this show and metro station will be.. but i notice the sched for metro station starts from Quebec to the end of the tour.. any idea who will be here in the maritimes with you guys and faber drive.. i mean i did pay for 3 bands but it looks like we are only getting 2 here in the maritimes..is there any answer why metro station ain’t comin here??
