Simple Plan has announced details of its very special New Year’s Eve live concert, slated for webcast as part of YouTube and Warner Music Group’s annual year-end extravaganza. The festivities herald the upcoming release of the Montreal-based band’s hugely anticipated third studio album, “SIMPLE PLAN,” arriving in stores and online on February 12th.
The multi-platinum combo hit a secret New York City location to tape its New Year’s Eve set in front of an at-capacity audience, with admission exclusively made available to Simple Plan fans. The full-length concert event – also featuring critically acclaimed rapper Talib Kweli and the winner of YouTube’s first ever “OnTheRise” rap competition, Conceit- can be seen worldwide at www.youtube.com/newyears, kicking off on Monday, December 31st.

Well I just watched the performance. I’ll give you the good first:
Everything but one line in Your Love Is A Lie. Other then that, WOW. You guys sounded… amazing. You’ve all grown as a band, and you sounded better then your recordings. The Youtube concert certainly showcases your talent… I’m blown away. Really.
Now the bad.
Understand first that I love you guys to death. I’m a hardcore fan, and I painted an SP on my bass for you guys…
but the line with the f-word… was that nessecary? I loved the song up until and after that line. It’s a great song, and it hits close to home for me based a situation with people I know. However… was the swear needed?
It’s not like I’ve never heard swearing before. No, I’m not screaming “AHHH MY VIRGIN EARRRS!” Heck, make me mad enough and I might use it myself. Not to mention all the times I’ve heard you say it. The thing I admired about you all is that you’ve kept your music realatively clean. That was great for young fans like myself (when I was a young fan that is. I’m not so young anymore) What about the siblings of your older fans who like you as well? What of your younger fans? Do I just not let my brothers listen to that song?
That’s just my opinion. You’ll get hundreds more, maybe even some directed at me to lighten up, but I felt I needed to share.
But again guys, I’m still a fan, and I’m still loving that performance apart from that line. David, the laid joke was insanely funny too xDDD

Well I just watched the performance. I’ll give you the good first:
Everything but one line in Your Love Is A Lie. Other then that, WOW. You guys sounded… amazing. You’ve all grown as a band, and you sounded better then your recordings. The Youtube concert certainly showcases your talent… I’m blown away. Really.
Now the bad.
Understand first that I love you guys to death. I’m a hardcore fan, and I painted an SP on my bass for you guys…
but the line with the f-word… was that nessecary? I loved the song up until and after that line. It’s a great song, and it hits close to home for me based a situation with people I know. However… was the swear needed?
It’s not like I’ve never heard swearing before. No, I’m not screaming “AHHH MY VIRGIN EARRRS!” Heck, make me mad enough and I might use it myself. Not to mention all the times I’ve heard you say it. The thing I admired about you all is that you’ve kept your music realatively clean. That was great for young fans like myself (when I was a young fan that is. I’m not so young anymore) What about the siblings of your older fans who like you as well? What of your younger fans? Do I just not let my brothers listen to that song?
That’s just my opinion. You’ll get hundreds more, maybe even some directed at me to lighten up, but I felt I needed to share.
But again guys, I’m still a fan, and I’m still loving that performance apart from that line. David, the laid joke was insanely funny too xDDD
